Kickstarter and it’s rival indiegogo have many wonderful projects that need financial backing. During one of my usual browsing sessions where I look for things to buy projects to support, I came across these.

Check this out. They’re looking to break the world speed record for a human powered watercraft. Their target is 37kph which is just under 20 knots. They explain what they need to complete their project, and how you can help. Personally, I feel what they’re really missing is some rod holders. Never mind the drag it will create.

Can you imagine the possibilities though (ignore the fact that it won’t properly float when you’re not moving). You could get around Ubin in about an hour at most. I might be tempted to make a go for Horsburgh too.
